Welcome to the Salt Lake ReStore!

We offer great prices on new and gently used building materials, household items, furniture, appliances, and much more!  Items are donated by individuals, businesses, contractors, and organizations that care about our cause and about reducing waste.  

The ReStore is a guilt-free way to get rid of your stuff! By donating to and shopping at the ReStore, you are helping working families achieve the American dream of homeownership. 

Book Lending Library. Customers can take up to five books per person per visit. We have a treasure trove of books and magazines for kids and grown-ups.  If you are planning to purge your book collection, please consider donating them to the ReStore!

Volunteering. Volunteers are the key to the ReStore's success!   Learn about volunteering

Store Hours. 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.

Donation Hours. 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.   Learn about donating.

Why Shop the ReStore?

The Salt Lake ReStore allows people and companies to repurpose items, keeping tons of material out of local landfills annually. Many companies donate brand-new items that are discontinued or overstocked. The ReStore provides affordable home maintenance and improvement items to the general public. Revenue from the ReStore supports the cost of operating our Greater Salt Lake Area Habitat Affiliate so that your donations can go directly to our homebuilding and critical home repair programs. In this way, the ReStore supports all the projects we do!

Who We Are

What is the ReStore?

 The Salt Lake ReStore is a home-improvement thrift store, serving the greater Salt Lake, Tooele, and Davis County areas. Merchandise arrives daily from local contractors, retailers, businesses, and people like you! Our inventory includes donated cabinets, appliances, furniture, windows, doors, lighting, tools, home décor, household goods, pet supplies, books, and much more! The ReStore is a great place for bargain hunters and DIY-ers to find great deals on what they need to tackle everything from small projects to large-scale remodeling.

Read to your little heart’s content! Our lending library has a wide selection of new and gently used books and magazines for readers of all ages. Sit for a spell and enjoy your book, or take up to five books home.   

Are you cleaning out your bookshelves? Bring us your volumes and share the gift reading with someone else! Drop them at our donation dock during regular donation hours (Tuesday – Saturday, 10 am to 4:30 pm).  

The lending library is on the left side of the Salt Lake ReStore. You can't miss it.
